Event Registration Online for MAS Freedom Presents: Native Deen Family Fun Tour powered by Eventbrite

Join us this Sunday, June 20th for a night of fun with a cause! Internationally-acclaimed artists “Native Deen” will be performing spiritually-relevant songs, followed by stand-up comedy by Preacher Moss, to raise awareness about–and show solidarity with–the people of Gaza and their ongoing plight.

ALL proceeds will go to the “Let Gaza Live” campaign, a key player in the fight to lift the embargo on Gaza. To find out more about the effort, visit their website.

Doors will open at 5:30pm, and the program will begin promptly at 6pm. Babysitting will be available on-site (though we encourage you to bring your children as well).

Feeling like you haven’t been making an impact on your world lately? Here’s the perfect opportunity to make a serious change in the lives of a group of people who are so often overlooked in our society: Farm workers. On top of working in horrible conditions, they get paid pennies a day, barely enough to live.

This forced agricultural labor isn’t in another far away country where we cannot understand the language of its people. Rather, this modern day slavery, as the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) has dubbed it, has taken place for nearly 12 years.

TAKE ACTION and help stop this vicious cycle! We have a duty to help our brothers and sisters enslaved in those fields.

For those of you wishing to carpool, we will be meeting at the MAS Center (5802 Breckenridge Pkwy, Suite 105, Tampa, FL) at 12:00 to leave at 12:30 pm SHARP. So needing a ride is NOT an excuse

Alhamdulillah, due to popular demand, MAS Tampa has launched its Spring Basketball League! The League is for all brothers age 16+, and will run for eight consecutive Sundays at the Temple Terrace Rec Center.

For all coaches and players: Please review the rules below, and download a copy of the game schedule.

League rules:
1- All Florida High school rules apply
2- Islamic manners and attire. Coaches and captains are responsible for their team conduct
3- All games will be played on Sundays between 9AM and 1PM
4- 20 minutes per half, with the clock stopping at every whistle only during the last 2 minutes of each half
5- Maximum of 2 time outs per team, per half, are allowed
6- Game time is forfeit time. Forfeit games will be at score of 35-0
7- The league will run for 7 weeks. Each team will play 1 game for 6 weeks and 2 games the 7th week for a total of 8 games
8- After the regular season, all teams will make the playoffs with single elimination format with #1 ranked team on bye
9- We will keep stats for each team for: points, rebounds, and steals. MVP will be chosen by the end of the season
10- Each team is allowed to sign up 2 players for the 3 point shooting contest and 2 other players for the all star game. That is 4 players per team total
