MAS Youth Give in Lakeland this Weekend!
Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
Feeling like you haven’t been making an impact on your world lately? Here’s the perfect opportunity to make a serious change in the lives of a group of people who are so often overlooked in our society: Farm workers. On top of working in horrible conditions, they get paid pennies a day, barely enough to live.
This forced agricultural labor isn’t in another far away country where we cannot understand the language of its people. Rather, this modern day slavery, as the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) has dubbed it, has taken place for nearly 12 years.
TAKE ACTION and help stop this vicious cycle! We have a duty to help our brothers and sisters enslaved in those fields.
