Tournament Rules
- All players / participants must
be members or associated with an organization that is affiliated and / or approved by
MAS-Tampa officials, but will allow a maximum of only two player per team as an
exception to this rule
- Proper attire is required.
For brothers and sisters, what you cannot
pray in, you cannot play in
- No obscene gestures,
clothing, or signs will be permitted. Tournament organizers reserve the
right to deem material unsuitable for the environment
- Protests of interscholastic
games shall not be allowed. The decision of the officials is final. For
all other complaints, only coaches and captains are allowed to issue a
compliant to the President of the tournament.
- MAS Olympics organizers
reserve the right to mend/add/delete rules where they see fit.
- MAS Olympics officials may mend
game length due to inclement weather. Games will only be cancelled due to
lightning
- All property, officials, referees,
organizers, volunteers, etc. must be shown proper respect. Violators will
be fined and expelled from the tournament.
- Fighting, taunting, cursing,
smoking, drinking, etc. will not be tolerated. Violators will be expelled
from tournament.
- A player who is disqualified
(ejected) from a game for unsportsmanlike conduct or a flagrant foul shall
be ineligible to compete in the next team game.
- Game time is forfeit time. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE
- No
refunds will be given
- First Come
First Serve. Registration for each age group will be closed as soon as the following is achieved for that age group:
- Rookies Age Group:
the maximum number of teams that will be allowed are 8 teams.
- Junior Age Group:
the maximum number of teams that will be allowed are 8 teams per tournament.
- Senior Age Group:
the maximum number of teams that will be allowed are 8 teams per tournament.
- Pro Age Group: the maximum number of teams that will
be allowed are 12 teams for the basketball tournament and 8 teams for the football.
- Age Cutoff Dates:
- Rookies Age Group: 9-12
years of age. A player born before 03/11/1993 cannot play in this age
group. Minimum age to play in this age group is 8.
- Junior Age Group:
12-15 years of age. A player born before 03/11/1990 cannot play in this
age group. Minimum age to play in this age group is 10.
- Senior Age Group:
16-18 years of age. A player born before 03/11/1987 cannot play in this
age group. Minimum age to play in this age group is 14.
- The Pros Age Group:
There are no age restrictions on this group
except for minimum age to play is 16.
- Maximum number of player per
team cannot exceed 15 players.
- A player who participate as a
member of senior team shall not participate in a junior team or vice versa
for any other team
- A player may not switch teams
or participate in another team that his/her name is not on that team's roster
- Only players in team uniform
and a maximum of 2 coaches are allowed on the team bench. All others must
be on the spectator’s side of the field / court.
